Week 15 was a great week for watching soccer. There were twelve Major League Soccer games, three CONCACAF Gold Cup matches, and seven of those fifteen were on national television. On the Pick’Em front, that allowed two of our pickers to make nearly 75% of their picks correct. Kudos to Green Eggs and daneekasghost who both went eleven out of fifteen to win the week. WEEK 16 GAMES
Week 16 will continue to provide us with some international bonus picks as the US Women’s team will be facing Colombia on Saturday. You can pick up 2 free points for correctly picking the winner of that match. Major League Soccer starts off a North American holiday weekend with Canada Day (July 1) festivities on Wednesday as Toronto and Vancouver face off. (Strangely enough, if you’re a fan of either Toronto or Vancouver, they play each other again on Saturday as part of the Canadian Championship.) The holiday “soccerfest” ends on Independence Day (July 4) with an ESPN2 double header featuring Real Salt Lake v. New England followed by Los Angeles v. Seattle. All times are Eastern.
